I just got my casper-the-ghost-shade-of-white self back from Bolivia. Somehow through it all I managed to stay a nice shade of chalk. At least people dont stare at me in Minnesota as much.

I have 22 GB of photos to deal with. I've got the fear.

They'll go up as I find ones worth posting.

A random sampling:

To slow down the approaching drug lord and soldiers, MacGyver places a large tree branch across the access road to the village. Using some cord wrapped around the triggers, he hooks the branch up to some AK-47 assault rifles pointing toward the road at ground level. When the soldiers try to move the branch, they inadvertently pull the cord and the guns shoot out their jeeps' tires.
To bring down a helicopter gunship, MacGyver lassos a metal cable onto the helicopter's landing rails and connects the cable to a jeep's winch. By winding in the winch, he pulls the helicopter to the ground.

[edit] Thief of Budapest (1x03)
MacGyver uses a board and a bunch of lightbulbs to simulate a blown tire (when it is driven over). This causes the driver to get out and inspect his tire, allowing MacGyver to access the truck.
He jams the local police radios by duct taping a transistor radio to a police radio (in transmit mode) and attaching the bundle to several helium-filled balloons.

[edit] The Gauntlet (1x04)
MacGyver, escaping from guards in a hot air balloon, has to patch a hole in the side that resulted from guards' gunfire. MacGyver, using a map and some tape, patches the hole and flies away.

[edit] The Heist (1x05)
In order to create a distraction to swap the dice at a craps table, using some string and a paper clip, MacGyver fastens the string to the paper clip then attaches it to the dress of a woman who is walking nearby and steps on the string, pulling down her dress, creating a distraction and allowing him to swap the dice.
MacGyver opens a sound activated security lock by filling four glasses partially full of wine at different levels and playing the tones in ascending order.

[edit] Trumbo’s World (1x06)
In order to fix a piston con-rod for a water pump, MacGyver makes an arc welder out of a generator, some jumper cables, and two half dollars, by running the DC current through the coins to create heat and electrical discharge, with which he can weld the con-rod.

[edit] Last Stand (1x07)
In order to open a locked security van, MacGyver creates a "thermite" torch using magnesium filed from a racing cycle frame and rust held in a long tube and lit with a roadside signal flare. Side note: Thermite is made with finely ground rust (iron oxide) and aluminum powder, and is commonly lit with magnesium ribbon.
MacGyver makes a bomb using fertilizer, starter fluid, foam, and newspaper.
To open the door of a walk-in freezer, MacGyver fills the lock with water and allows it to freeze in the lock. The expansion forces the lock open.
